After Obama, will America ever elect another black president?
If yes, what must he/she do differently for history to remember him/her as of one the greatest presidents of all time?

Absolutely, as well it should. I think it will happen, but it may take a few Presidencies. I'd say as many as four. And not because the USA is not willing. For no other reason than the achievement of electing the first would no longer be part of the message /attractiveness of the candidate. I would point out two cities
New York
Los Angeles
Had black mayors but have not had the 2nd yet.
Chicago has not elected a 2nd black mayor, though Eugene Sawyer was appointed by the Council and served after Harold Washington's death.
That is not to say they won't. As is the case in these cities, not only is there a variety of coalitions and politics going on and only one person can be the mayor, but other races, genders, local groups... NYC had a lesbian woman, black man and a white man who represented up and coming Brooklyn as candidates, the latter won. These groups also would like the honor. I suspect this will be the case nationwide.
There's a slight advantage on the Republican side as there could still be a 'first' here - a first Republican candidate. Not as dramatic as first President. Like other writers, I'd keep an eye out for Tim Scott as a potential VP candidate on any Republican ticket next three elections. Condaleezza Rice I suspect would have already been on a ticket but she was not interested.
